Step 1: Click Start Menu and Search for Firewall. Click on Windows Firewall.
Step 2: Click on Turn Windows Firewall on or off.
Step 3: Click on Turn off Windows Firewall (not recommended) radio button.
Step 4: You will see the Red box telling you Firewall is disabled.
Once you install updates or complete administrative job, you must enable firewall using the same method.
Disable Antivirus Temporarily
There are hundreds of Antiviruses are out there but enabling and disabling antivirus is almost same. Here, is the steps to enable/disable antivirus.
Steps 1: Go to Notification Area in Windows and Right click on your Antivirus icon and disable Antivirus Temporarily.
